Hunter Orthopaedic School
Services are provided to children aged 4 to 18 years (Pre-school to Year 12) with physical disabilities, multiple needs or who require short term rehabilitation. Children may present with needs in the following areas: communication, genetic/birth defects, learning difficulties, physical (mobility) and self help needs. The service provides a range of assesssments in developmental, education/functional, Vision, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Patholgy, and School screening. Children are encouraged to acquire skills and knowledge approriate to their ability, needs and desires and to apply these to their daily endeavours as a life long learner.
