Respite and Recreation Club
Respite and Recreation Club Respite & Recreation Program for People with Special Needs(HACC) provides respite to carers of people with a disability ages 18 - 65 years, operates Sundays and Mondays, Thursdays and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Some of the programs that the members are involved in are: living & Arts, Music & Movement, Gardening, Restaurant preparation and planning of community fairs. In addition to the weekly programs we also offer weekend respite, and quarterly activities on Saturday evenings. Friday and Sunday groups for adults. Disco first Friday of month. Music and Drama - Melville Stars. Childrens program. Fri 1130-3pm Art and Living. This program is HACC funded and is targeted at younger disabled rather than just the elderly.There are various activities each evening and weekeends for the special needs group.
